Kimberly A. Mankiewicz, PhD, ELS, is a Scientific Editor in the Center for Translational Injury Research at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. She has over 15 years of experience working with trainees and faculty on grants, manuscripts, scientific visuals, and other projects. Kim has edited grant proposals for the National Institutes of Health and Department of Defense, as well as other agencies and foundations. Kim is the Chair of Marketing Committee for the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS) and a member of the Board of Directors for BELS and the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA).
Crystal Herron, PhD, ELS(D), CMMP, is an editor, educator, and writing coach who helps scientists and clinicians communicate with clear, concise, and compelling writing. She is also an international speaker who leads webinars, workshops, and courses to equip researchers and professional writers with the principles, resources, and systems they need to write compelling manuscripts and grants in the health sciences. Crystal has more than 15 years of experience as an editor and more than 25 years of experience as an educator. Before pursuing her passion for words, she completed her PhD in biomedical science and then collaborated on diverse projects in clinical research. |
